One Injured in Crisfield Shooting; Police Investigating

CRISFIELD, Md. – The Crisfield Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that injured one on Tuesday evening.

At 7:23 p.m. on Jul. 22, officers with CPD and Somerset County Sheriff’s Office responded to 141 Somers Cove for a shooting before locating one victim nearby at 78 Somers Cove suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, and both scenes have since been cleared. A preliminary investigation indicates there was a verbal altercation involving multiple people took place before the shooting. The victim was transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional and is listed in stable condition.
