New Partnership Supports Kent County High’s CTE Construction Program

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Kent County High School’s CTE Construction Program has received a boost after partnering with Gillespie Precast.

The Upper Shore Regional Council and Kent County Economic and Tourism Development announced the partnership on Monday, saying it was an investment into the CTE Program and its associated student-led shed project. The project provides students with hands-on experience as they design, build, market, and sell a shed, then reinvest the proceeds into future projects.

In addition to financial contributions, local businesses are encouraged to engage with Kent County High School CTE students through internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, company tours, classroom presentations, resume reviews, mock interviews, and other career exploration activities.
