Maryland Non-Profit Launches with Mobile Unit in Cambridge
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – A Maryland non-profit is getting started with bringing medical care to the people in the heart of Downtown Cambridge.
The group Well Together’s goal is to bring health outreach and screenings directly to people through a mobile health unit.
Their first stop was on Race Street in Cambridge Monday afternoon with the goal of providing residents with vital health resources.
WMDT got a chance to meet with Well Together’s Director about wanting to improve access to healthcare.
“So as we travel across Maryland and across the United States, each community has different community health needs assessments. We want to address those needs, in the community. And we can do that once again, from those local partnerships, those local providers coming out to provide services on board the clinic,” says Director, Tom Bever.
