Man airlifted following boat crash in Ocean City
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Maryland Natural Resources Police responding to a boat crash in Ocean City.
The agency was dispatched to the Isle of Wight Bay around 2:10 p.m.
Officers found that a center console and pontoon vessel collided– injuring the adult man operating the pontoon boat.
The man reportedly suffered injuries to his head and face after hitting equipment onboard his boat.
He was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for precautionary reasons.
WMDT is told he was conscious and alert at the time of transport.
One other occupant sought treatment for lower-body injuries sustained in the collision.
The Ocean City Fire Department also helped on scene.
Natural Resources Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
