Julia A. Purnell Museum awarded grant
SNOW HILL, Md. – The Town of Snow Hill announcing the Julia A. Purnell Museum has been awarded a grant to help support collections and cataloging work.
The total money awarded is $12,000 and comes from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority.
The funding will support Phase One of a three-phase collections and cataloging project and will help bring in a intern to begin adding and documenting collection pieces.
The project aims to strengthen the museum’s ability to preserve, document, and share the stories and objects that reflect Snow Hill’s history, as well as the broader heritage of Worcester County and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Cataloging work is expected to begin in September.
