Delaware 4H Holds Youth Lawn Tractor Competition
(HARRINGTON, Del) – The fun is kicking off on four wheels at the Delaware State Fair.
Kids Under 18 got to take part in the 4H lawn tractor test.
From identifying faulty parts, to making precise turns with lawn mowers, these kids are showing their skills at a young age.
And it’s a very popular 4H competition.
“We’ve got kids starting at age eight, so it’s terrific. Again, we’re very thankful our forage volunteers work with our kids over the course of the year to identify programs and events that they want to participate in. Again, lawn mowing is very popular with our youth, but again, it’s a life skill,” says University of Delaware’s Dr. Ernie Lopez.
