Bookmobile Visits Hebron Fire Department

HEBRON, Md.– The Bookmobile visited the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department on Thursday, bringing books and other library services to children who do not have convenient access to a library.

The Bookmobile is a 34-foot bus that houses a collection of books, CDs and DVDs for children of all ages.

Mobile Library Outreach manager Beth Jarvis said the bookmobile helps bring books and library services to children in more rural parts of the community.

“The Bookmobile reaches the community by making books available to people in the far reaches of the community,” Jarvis said. “They can come and check out anything, and we can help them find what they need for school.”

Library officials said the Bookmobile program helps promote literacy and ensures children across the county have access to educational resources, regardless of where they live.
