Worcester County Sheriff’s Office happy with budget fulfillment
WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office received full funding. The $22 million will go towards pay raises for deputies, allowing the department to be more competitive with neighboring agencies.
Sheriff Crisafulli added funding will help them fully train employees with less law enforcement experience more efficiently. “Number one, to open the front door, to bring in qualified men and women laterals, and to bring in the best that we can recruit wise.”
“Number two to lock the back door, so we don’t have men and women with vast institutional knowledge to walk out the back door due to other organizations with better pay packages.”
Crisafulli said the budget reflects the county’s commitment to public safety.
