Vehicle Crashes Through Guardrail on Route 50 Near Mardela Springs; No Injuries Reported

Station 9 was dispatched to the scene on June 13 for a reported crash with injuries on eastbound Route 50. Upon arrival, Paramedic B9 found a vehicle that had gone through a guardrail and come to rest in a ditch off the roadway.
Chief Corey Allensworth established Command 9 and coordinated the response. Rescue Engine 906 secured the scene and established a safety zone for EMS personnel, while Ladder 5 from Hebron took a blocking position to protect responders from traffic.
Officials said three people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries were reported.
Car 9 assisted with traffic control while crews worked at the scene. The incident was later turned over to the Maryland State Police for investigation.
All responding units cleared the scene and returned to service without incident.
