No Dogs Allowed on Boardwalk

Ocean City, Md. – Ocean City officials are  not welcome on the boardwalk.

Police want to remind visitors that dogs are not allowed on the boardwalk during from May 1st until September 30th.
The Ocean City Police Department says the boardwalk experiences large crowds during the summer and that prohibiting them helps keep the area clean and ensures public safety.
Service dogs are permitted.

“Our beaches and boardwalks become very busy, very congested with a lot of people running around. So it does become a bit of a safety issue when you put a bunch of people together and a bunch of dogs together”, says Ashley Miller, Deputy Communications Manager for Ocean City Police Department.
