Local Dads Share How They Plan to Spend Father’s Day

SALISBURY, Md. – June 21st is Father’s Day and local families begin to prepare their festivities.

Fathers everywhere plan to light up their grills and spend the day in the sun, as the third Sunday of June honours the effort they put into fatherhood.

Local dad Will Corner is looking forward to a jam packed weekend of activities and spending time with his children.

“We’re going to go on the boat, go golfing, fishing, all the things.” Corner said. “We have 51 weeks of mother time and one week of father’s week, so we’ll try to pack it all into one weekend.” Corner said.

Getting to celebrate the holiday however he likes isn’t the best gift that fatherhood has given to him. To Corner, it’s getting to witness his own children as they age.

“Watching them grow up and become the young men and women that they are, it’s awesome.” Corner said.
