Junior Achievement of Eastern Shore Appoints New CEO

SALISBURY, Md. – Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore (JAES) has announced that nonprofit executive JJ Skyler has officially assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective Jun. 1.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are excited to welcome JJ Skyler as President and CEO of Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore,” said D’Shawn Doughty, Chair of the JAES Board of Directors. “Following a thorough and thoughtful search process, it was clear that JJ brings the right combination of executive leadership, nonprofit expertise, and organizational development experience to guide JAES into its next chapter. Her ability to strengthen partnerships, build operational capacity, and think boldly about the future of workforce readiness makes her uniquely suited to lead this work at such an important moment for our students, educators, businesses, and communities across the Shore.”

Skyler joins Junior Achievement with an extensive background in executive leadership, and holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Nonprofit Management. JAES leaders say she is uniquely equipped for the job, as her career has been defined by a commitment to modernizing operational frameworks and scaling community impact. Skyler is equally excited for the opportunity, saying vision is to create collaborative spaces and intergenerational partnerships together with the business community and schools.

“I am incredibly honored to step into the role of President and CEO at such a pivotal time for Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore,” said Skyler. “I specifically wanted to work with JA because they have an ideal framework through which to modernize and redefine workforce readiness for our youth… I am excited to work alongside our team, educators, and leaders to ensure every student on the Shore is equipped to thrive.”
