Easton Sex Offender Arrested for Viewing Child Porn on Parole
EASTON, Md. – The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) has arrested a registered sex offender on 16 counts of accessing and viewing child pornography.
Deputies arrested 33-year-old Thomas W. Nash III of Easton without incident on Monday, Jun. 8. He was transported to Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing and an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. Nash is currently being held without bond.
In May, the TCSO Criminal Investigations Division received information from an agent with the Maryland Division of Parole and Probation that Nash was accessing and viewing child pornography. Nash had been convicted in Dorchester County in Aug. 2023 for possessing child pornography and received five years of active incarceration in a state correctional facility.
In March, Nash was paroled after serving approximately 30 months and reported to TCSO to register as a sex offender as required by law. As part of his parole arrangement, Nash consented to electronic monitoring of his internet browsing activity. The agent with Parole and Probation monitored Nash’s internet activity and discovered he was accessing and viewing child pornography after being released from prison.
