Dorchester County Historical Society to Host Voices of the Shore Celebration

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The Dorchester County Historical Society is gearing up to celebrate Independence Day this weekend.

Celebrations start at the Meredith House in Cambridge where the Historical Society will be hosting their Voice of the Shore celebration all day Friday.
Festivities include music from the late 19th Century up to the present day as well as the City of Cambridge’s July 4th tradition of the reading of the Declaration of Independence.

The Historical Society is hoping people of all ages will come and join the party.

“Well, history is music, culture, food and drink. And indeed, during our free activities, again, from 11 to 3 children have a chance to sign their own copy of the declaration,” says Historical Society Director, Marcos Salaverria.

Festivities will kick off at 11 A.M. on Friday, July 3rd.
