CASA of the Mid-Shore Kicks Off Largest Fundraiser of the Year
(EASTON, Md) – A Mid-Shore group is kicking off one of their biggest fundraisers of the year to help child victims of abuse and neglect.
The group is holding their Hope for the Future Challenge, with the goal of raising over 150 thousand dollars to fund their budget through the next year.
Executive Director, Susan Schumacher says they’re already off to a good start with over 50 thousand dollars donated. And as the month-long fundraiser continues, they’re hoping people will donate so they can continue to help kids in need.
Schumacher tells WMDT, “So we want to just continue to reach out and let them know the need is still there. And we very much appreciate people donating whatever they can to help support the cause.”
