Two Men Arrested on Drug, Gun Charges following Search Warrant in Crisfield
CRISFIELD, Md. – Two men have been arrested on drug and firearm charges after the Somerset County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant on Wednesday morning.
Police have arrested 39-year-old Jayson Philip Tawes and 36-year-old Gregory Allen Cain Jr. without incident. Tawes is charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a serial number and other illegal drug and firearm charges. Cain is charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance, illegal possession of ammunition, and other drug related charges. They have since been brought before a Maryland District Court Commissioner.
On May 27, officers searched a residence located on Line Drive in Crisfield, locating the following:
- Eight firearms (four regulated and four non-regulated), including one “Ghost Gun” with an extended magazine
- Various rounds of ammunition
- 57.5 controlled pills of various schedules
- 18 suboxone strips
- 6.7 grams of “crack” cocaine
