Seaford Car Crash Leads to DSP Homicide Investigation

SEAFORD, Del. – The Delaware State Police (DSP) are investigating  a homicide that occurred in Seaford on Thursday.

On May 21, around 8:45 p.m., troopers responded to the 24000 block of German Road for a reported crash. When troopers arrived, they found the driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old male from Laurel, with an apparent gunshot wound and began lifesaving efforts. The teenage victim was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries. His identity is being withheld until his family is notified.

Due to the nature of the incident, the DSP Homicide Unit assumed the investigation. Preliminarily, detectives say they have learned that the victim was shot near the Concord Pond boat ramp on German Road by an unknown suspect.
