Mardela Baseball advances to state tourney

MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. – The Warriors welcomed the Snow Hill Eagles, and it was a high-scoring affair.

Both teams were getting hits throughout, the Eagles had 9 hits, and the Warriors had 11 hits.

Both teams got runners on base, but the Warriors capitalized more times than not and were able to stack runs with a 5-run inning in the 3rd and then a 3-run inning in the 6th.

Easton Banks and Braxton Phippen stood out, with Banks having 2 at-bats with 2RBIs and a stolen base. Phippen had 3RBIs in 2 at-bats.

The Warriors are not headed to the state tournament to play a team to be determined
