Greensboro Police Chief Resigns

GREENSBORO, Md. – Mayor David Spencer and the Greensboro Town Council have announced the resignation of Greensboro Police Chief Lenox Trams.

The town made the announcement on Friday in a message posted to social media.

“We thank Lenox for his service and dedication to the Town of Greensboro and wish him luck in all of his future endeavors,” the town said.

Additionally, town leaders say they will be working collaboratively with the Maryland State Police and Caroline County Sheriff’s Office to ensure continued coverage of the Town while they seek to fill the Police Chief position.

No further details about Chief Trams resignation have been announced at this time. He has served as Police Chief since Dec. 2023.
