Fire Damages Home at Rehoboth Beach Yacht & Country Club
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Multiple fire companies responded to the Rehoboth Beach Yacht & Country Club on Wednesday night.
Around 10:45 p.m. on May 20, crews with the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company arrived to the Country Club, finding flames on the exterior of a large open concept home. Crews say the fire quickly spread into the first and second floors.
A house sitter with dogs managed to escape the property prior to firefighters arriving on scene. No injuries were reported.
RBVFC was assisted on scene by the Lewes and Milton Fire Departments and the Bethany Beach, Indian River, and Memorial Volunteer Fire Companies, as well as Sussex County EMS.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal is reportedly investigating.
