Dorchester Co. Public Library Unveils new 24/7 Book Kiosk

(HURLOCK, Md) – And the Hurlock branch of the Dorchester County Library is celebrating a new way for families to have access any time of day.

The branch, along with town and county leadership cut the ribbon on a new 24-7 kiosk.

It’s all in an effort to help families access the library’s resources at all times.

Hurlock’s library only stays open four days a week, and library leadership says this is one way to help make sure people can still pick up books at any time.

“The library has been a real gift to me and my family, especially as, a homeschooling mom. And as they’re only open four days a week to be able to have 24/7 access to pick up any book that I request online, is just such an asset for our family,” says Hurlock parent, Sarah Ruf.

The Dorchester Library says books will be available in the kiosk as long as online requests are made before 3 PM.
