UPDATE: Water Restored to Crisfield following Water Main Break

UPDATE: Water service was restored to Crisfield residents on Tuesday evening following the repair of a broken water main line.

Just before 6:30 p.m., the City said crews were onsite completing backfilling and final repairs to the area where the water main was damaged.

 

CRISFIELD, Md. – The City of Crisfield has alerted residents to a broken water main line, causing water outages in several areas of the town.

Officials say a contractor working in the area of Lorie Quinn Drive struck a water main around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The City of Crisfield Public Utilities Department responded to the scene this afternoon to repair the issue. At this time, the estimated repair timeline is unknown.

Water service will be temporarily shut off in the following areas:
  • Wellington Road to Brick Kiln Road
  • Lori Quinn Road (near the Mennonite Camp)
  • Sunset Circle Townhomes
  • American Legion
