UPDATE: Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Shooting in Milton

UPDATE: The Delaware State Police (DSP) have arrested a suspect in connection with Saturday’s fatal shooting in Milton.

On Sunday, Apr. 12, troopers arrested 62-year-old Myron Savage without incident in Harrington. He is charged with first degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1,060,000 cash bond.

MILTON, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Milton and are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect, authorities said.

Troopers responded at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday to the 20000 block of Forest Road for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 47-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Detectives said the preliminary investigation indicates the suspect approached the victim on foot in the front yard of a residence, shot him multiple times, and fled the area on a black, three-wheeled scooter. 

Authorities have identified the suspect as 62-year-old Myron Savage and have obtained a warrant for his arrest. Police said efforts are ongoing to locate him. 

Investigators are urging anyone with information about Savage’s whereabouts to call 911.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
