Rehoboth Officials Ask Residents to Abide by Grove Park Closure
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The City of Rehoboth is reminding residents that Grove Park is currently closed for an aeration project.
Yellow tape is up to block off the entrances, but City officials say people are still coming and using the park, particularly the playground. Crews are on-site working until 3:00 p.m. daily, and residents are not permitted to be in work zones. New soil has been laid around the base of several trees in the park, and is clearly marked with signs. These areas should be avoided as well.
On Wednesday, Apr. 8, work will be done in close proximity to the playground, posing a potential safety hazard. Residents are specifically asked to stay off of the playground when that work is being done.
Alternative playgrounds open for Rehoboth residents are Stockley Park and Lake Gerar. The Grove Park project is expected to be complete on May 15.
