Organization raising funds for youth athletics

Salisbury, MD. – The Delmarva Blast Youth sports Foundation is dedicated to assisting families with the high cost of athletic programs.

“The Delmarva Blast Youth Sports Foundation is a youth scholarship fund…we raised a lot of funds to help cover costs for families and kids to participate in our programs.” says Rusty Brown, Executive Director of the foundation.

The price of youth athletics can be too much for some families to afford, resulting in children being denied recreation and sport. Scholarship recipients can apply these funds to membership fees, uniforms, or any other related cost.  Since 2018, Brown operates this organization as he was inspired by the charitable acts that supported his athletic dreams as a child. As the prices were too high, he was given meaningful opportunities by those around him, and he, along with his colleagues aim to keep sport and play possible for families in need.

This organization’s mission reaches a variety of sports including baseball, soccer, and basketball, and covers athletes across Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia’s eastern shore.
