One arrested in Cambridge after assault
CAMBRIDGE, MD – Cambridge Police Officers arrested a 38 year old man for his involvement in a domestic disturbance on Apr 11.
After a report from a witness, around 11:30 pm, Cambridge police responded to an apartment on Locus street. Officers found furniture thrown throughout the apartment and other evidence of a physical altercation. A male subject identified as Lucas Edelmer Figueroa-Hernandez, of Cambridge, Maryland was present along with a female and multiple small children.
The female reported that Figueroa was intoxicated and locked him outside of the apartment, hoping to prevent any violent altercations. Figueroa-Hernandez kicked in the door and struck the female several times in the face and later made several failed stabbing attempts. The children intervened and prevented any further attack.
Figueroa-Hernandez was arrested and turned over to Dorchester County Department of Corrections with no bond. He was charged with assault first and second degree, and reckless endangerment.
