MD Del. Hartman loves the Line n’ Dine Program

MARYLAND. – Some exciting news coming out of Maryland Delegate Wayne Hartman’s office: Maryland boat operators may now partner with local full-service restaurants on Line n’ Dine options.

In partnership with the Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, a Line n’ Dine Program is developed to promote and engage in the sale of select finfish caught in Maryland.

Delegate Hartman said it will help the local fishing industry and Maryland restaurants.

“If you go out fishing on the charter fishing boat, you as the angler that has caught the fish can take your fresh catch to a restaurant,” said the delegate. “Where you have the charter boats coming in and the restaurants there, so if they want to participate, and you can bring your catch and they prepare it for you could be pretty neat.”

To participate in the Program, both the restaurant and the charter boat and its captain must be appropriately licensed.
