Five people transported following serious crash in Caroline County

DENTON, Md. – Five people were taken to the hospital following a serious crash in Caroline County.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Shore Highway and Meeting House Road.

The Ridgely Volunteer Fire Department says officers arrived to find a two-vehicle crash with multiple patients entrapped and injured.

Crews from Ridgely and the Denton Volunteer Fire Department freed the patients from both vehicles in a matter of minutes.

Three people were taken to Shock Trauma Center and John Hopkins Hospital.

Two patients were also taken to University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton.
