Felton man arrested for violating court order; police say
FELTON, Del. — A Felton man was arrested Saturday morning after police say he violated a court order at a residence on East Sewell Street.
Officers with the Felton Police Department were dispatched around 6:03 a.m. on April 4, 2026, for a report of an open window at a home in the 100 block of East Sewell Street.
Upon arrival, police made contact with the reporting individual and determined he was subject to a no-contact order involving the homeowner. Officers also confirmed that the individual had an unserved Protection From Abuse order.
Police served the Protection From Abuse order at the scene and, following further investigation, developed probable cause to make an arrest.
The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Lamont Gerome Jiggetts of Felton, was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with breach of release, a misdemeanor.
Jiggetts was arraigned via video through Justice of the Peace Court and released on a $50,000 unsecured bond. A future court date was not immediately available.
Authorities said the Protection From Abuse order and the no-contact order remain in effect.
Police noted that all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
