Caroline County Humane Society to Host ‘Slumber Pawty’
RIDGELY, Md. — The Caroline County Humane Society is joining the National Slumber Pawty fundraising event.
This weekend, volunteers at CCHS will spend 24 hours living side-by-side with the shelter animals — eating, sleeping, and pawtying with all their adoptable cats and dogs.
The shelter’s goal is to raise funds, spread awareness, and showcase all the hard work animal shelters do to keep their residents happy and healthy.
“The funds that people donate to us go straight to caring for the animals. We have a lot of medical cases right now that we’re looking for funding for. We’ve got some complicated medical cases. We got a large intake of cats who need dentals. We’ve got a lot of that going on; so every dollar we stretch it as far as we possibly can,” Executive Director of CCHS Stephanie Flower said.
CCHS has already raised over $28,000. To donate you can visit https://www.shelterslumberpawty.com/event/CarolineCountyHumane
