Cambridge Man Arrested for Stalking, Shooting Threats

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) has arrested a man in connection with assault and stalking allegations.

On Monday, Apr. 20, police served an arrest warrant to 21-year-old Malik Alexander Kenneth Wilcox of Cambridge. He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of first and second degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, stalking, and related firearm charges. Wilcox was later turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond.

Police say the charges stem from an investigation relating to events on Apr. 16. Victims reported to CPD that an altercation occurred in the 500 block of Clinton Street. One victim reported that an undisclosed female subject was at that location to fight her, when she was attacked by 40 to 50 people.

Additionally, the victims reported that one subject, identified as Wilcox, assaulted them by pushing them around before pulling out a handgun and pointing it at the victims, threatening to shoot them. The mother of one of the victims observed the incident and stepped in front of her daughter, where Wilcox continued to point the gun at the mother. The victim reported that Wilcox continually threatened to shoot them, making statements that he would be back and that they were going to die. The victims reported that Wilcox continued to drive past their residence.

CPD officers applied for charges on Wilcox with the Court Commissioner where an arrest warrant was issued. The other identities of individuals involved are not known at this time.
