Yard Sale coming to Wicomico Civic Center

Salisbury, Md. – Those who love a yard sale will be glad to know that the Yard Sale at the Wicomico Civic Center returns tomorrow. For $3 per person, yard sale enthusiasts can visit vendors selling their wares from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those who are under 12 years old can come in for free, accompanied by an adult.

Wicomico Civic Center Building Manager, Chelsey Jones says the civic center anticipates over 100 vendors on Saturday. She also said there will be concessions that attendees can enjoy while they look for one-of-a-kind gems.

“The good old saying someone else’s trash is someone else’s treasure,” Jones said.

She said that events like yard sales are important in the community to “keep stuff out of the out of the dump, in and out of the landfills, like, that’s the ideal situation for us, especially on the Eastern Shore.” She also said the event fosters community between residents.

“It’s so fun to be here for that event because you see people that you haven’t seen all winter long,” she said.
