UPDATE: The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) has announced new updates in a child pornography investigation they began in October of last year.

After arresting 37-year-old Timothy William Fish on Oct. 29, 2025, detectives say search and seizure warrants were executed on electronic devices found on Fish’s person, vehicle and residence. Evidence was recovered that indicated Fish was filming a minor engaged in sex acts, and distributed the recorded material to other persons. Evidence was also obtained that showed Fish was in possession of child pornography.

In Feb. 2026, investigators presented the case to a Talbot County Grand Jury, who indicted Fish on 22 counts of sexual crimes. On Mar. 3, investigators arrested Fish without incident. He was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center and had a bond review in Talbot County Circuit Court the following day, where he was released on a $150,000 bond.

Fish was placed on electronic monitoring. His pre-trial release conditions include obeying all laws, no contact with anyone except for his parents, no internet access, and no electronic devices. Fish is also not to leave his residence except for evaluation or treatment.

TCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division was assisted in the investigation by Homeland Security Investigations, TCSO’s Patrol Division, the Talbot County State’s Attorney’s Office and members of the Talbot County Drug Task Force.

McDANIEL, Md. – A man from Talbot County has been released on house arrest following a preliminary hearing regarding his alleged sexual solicitation of a minor.

On Monday, Nov. 24, a hearing was held in Talbot County District Court to determine if probable cause existed to forward the criminal charges against 37-year-old Timothy William Fish to the Talbot County Circuit Court. Fish also had a bail review scheduled for this hearing.

Despite objections from the State’s Attorney’s Office, the District Court judge reduced Fish’s bond to $150,000, in which he only had to post 10 percent. Fish was placed on electronic monitoring and given the following pre-trial release conditions: obeying all laws, no contact with anyone under the age of 18, no internet access, and he cannot leave his residence except for evaluation, treatment or legal appointments.

Earlier this year, the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division ascertained information that Fish was communicating with the social media account of an underage person. Authorities learned that Fish’s conversation with the underage account turned to sexual acts he wanted to perform with the underage person. He eventually agreed to meet with the minor to have sex, but the meeting never occurred.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Fish, charging him with one count of sexual solicitation of a minor. Fish was arrested without incident on Oct. 28, in the Easton area. Fish was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility to make an initial appearance before being transferred to the Talbot County Detention Center. On Oct. 29, Fish had an initial bail review before a judge in District Court, and he was ordered held without bond.
