UPDATE: Inmate Phone Service Restored at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center

UPDATE: The Delaware Department of Corrections says service has been restored to inmate phones and tablet services at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center as of Tuesday morning.

Service had been temporarily unavailable due to a disruption in service by the local phone carrier.

 

UPDATE: The Delaware Department of Corrections says inmate phones, video calls, and tablet services remain unavailable due to an outage impacting the service provider.

The department says that they are actively monitoring the restoration efforts and will continue to share updates as information becomes available. Incarcerated individuals have been notified of the disruption through internal facility communications.

In-person visitation scheduled for the weekend will not be affected.

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Department of Corrections has announced that inmate phones, video calls, and tablet services are temporarily down at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center (JTVCC) due to a disruption in service by the local phone carrier.

Officials say that work is underway by the carrier to restore service at this time. JTVCC’s administrative office phones are working normally and prison security systems are not affected by this disruption.
