UPDATE: Delaware Dept. of Correction locates escaped offender
UPDATE: The Delaware Department of Correction has announced that the escaped offender from the Sussex Community Corrections Center (SCCC) has been apprehended.
On Thursday, Mar. 5, 54-year-old Adam Blades was apprehended by Department of Correction Officers and returned to custody. He was arraigned before being committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on an escape after conviction warrant in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
Blades had reportedly been last seen in Seaford at the time of his failure to return. He is currently serving time for a violation of probation in connection with third degree burglary.
GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Delaware Department of Correction is seeking the public’s help locating an escaped offender.
54-year-old Adam Blades reportedly walked away from the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown after failing to return from an approved work pass.
The offender’s whereabouts are unknown and unauthorized at this time.
Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community.
These centers are not secured like Level 5 prisons, as offenders are permitted to leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs, or attend approved treatment sessions.
