Two Teens Arrested for Vehicle Theft in Queen Anne’s Co.
QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY, Md. – The Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff has arrested two teenagers in connection with a vehicle theft.
At 10:33 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 20, Deputy Stephen Mayo was traveling northbound on Route 213 when he located a vehicle bearing registration that dispatch had put a BOLO on for being stolen earlier in the night out of Chestertown. Additional units responded to the area, and a felony traffic stop was conducted.
Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17-years-old, were taken into custody without incident. While searching the vehicle deputies observed the steering column to be broken and located a screwdriver.
Both teenagers received juvenile referrals to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services on charges of unauthorized removal of a motor vehicle, fourth degree burglary, theft scheme between $1,500 and $25,000, and related crimes.
