Two arrested on drug, firearms charges in Bethany Beach

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – Two people were arrested in Bethany Beach for the use of illegal narcotics and having unsecured firearms.

47-year-old William E. Lewis and 45-year-old Amy J. Oliver were taken into custody after members of the Bethany Beach Police Department executed a search warrant at a property in the 800 block of Garfield Parkway.

The search warrant was obtained after an investigation into the two for use of illegal narcotics in the residence.

During a search, officers found a digital scale, a microwave with crack cocaine residue, several containers with powdery residue, drug paraphernalia and unsecured firearms.

Lewis was arrested and charged with a litany of crimes and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $69,800 cash bond.

Oliver was arrested and also charged with a litany of crimes and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $33,300 cash bond.
