Temp. Closing of Porter Mill Rd. for Pipe Installation, Paving

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The Wicomico County Executive’s Office has announced a temporary closing of Porter Mill Road for the installation of new pipes in the area.

Officials say crews will begin work on Wednesday, Mar. 18, to install three pipes in the area. The road will be reopened every night and only closed in 50 feet sections. All residents will be able to access their homes. Work is expected to conclude by the end of the week.

One pipe will be located near Athol Road, the second near Deerfield Road, and the third near the midpoint.

An additional closure will be implemented when paving begins at the end of the month. When paving starts, flaggers will be on scene and only one lane will be closed at a time.
