Teacher Finalists Chosen for Rising Star Award

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Tonight’s Good News, brought to you in part by Matt the Carpet Guy, coming out of Wicomico County Public Schools.

Four finalists have been selected for the 2026 Rising Star Award for out standing second year teachers. Congratulations to Ayonna Brunson of Salisbury Middle School, Trinity Parker of East Salisbury Elementary School, Leslie Twining of Bennett Middle School, and Sevonne Whittington of Charles H. Chipman Elementary School.

The winner will be selected at the Wicomico County Teacher of the Year Celebration on Apr. 9.
