Section of MD 90 to Close Overnight for Tree Trimming Maintenance
WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will close a section of MD 90 (Ocean City Expressway) overnight on Tuesday, Mar. 17, and Wednesday, Mar. 18, for tree trimming maintenance.
The tree trimming and cleanup, which will take place between US 50 and MD 528, are required following damage caused by February’s blizzard. During maintenance operations, traffic will be detoured to US 50. Crews are expected to complete the work by Thursday morning, Mar. 19, weather permitting.
Crews will work between 6:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., utilizing message boards, arrow boards, and cones to safely guide motorists through the detour. Drivers should add approximately 30 minutes to their commute during the maintenance operations.
