Scheduled Water Outage to Affect Portion of Ocean Pines

OCEAN PINES, Md. – Worcester County officials are notifying the public of a scheduled water outage that will impact 65 homes in the Ocean Pines area.

The outage is part of efforts to replace a failing water service main. Disruption to water service will take place on Wednesday, Mar. 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with an alternative date of Thursday, Mar. 5. Impacted homes are located in the following areas:

  • From the Windjammer Road/Capetown Road intersection to the Windjammer Road/Sandyhook Road intersection
  • From the Capetown Road/Ocean Parkway intersection to the Capetown Road/Wind Jammer Road intersection
  • All of Essex Court

Following the repair, residents may experience brown water. If that occurs, officials say to run the water for a few minutes until it becomes clear. If the water remains brown, please contact Water and Wastewater at 410-641-5251.
