Salisbury to Offer Residents Free Bulk Pick-Up

SALISBURY, Md. – The City of Salisbury is offering free bulk pick-up to residents during the week of Monday, Mar. 16 through Friday, Mar. 20.
Residents must schedule their pick-up in advance by Friday, March 13 at 12:00 p.m. noon to participate. To schedule, residents should call the Department of Field Operations at 410-548-3177 and specify that you are requesting a free bulk pick-up during the week of Mar. 16 and confirm your regular trash collection day. If you reach voicemail, leave a detailed message including your name, phone number, address, trash day, and the items to be picked up.
Requests received after the deadline may not be accommodated.
The City advises residents scheduling a pick-up to abide by the following guidelines:
- Limit of three bulk items per residence.
- Mattresses, box springs, or fabric-containing items must be wrapped in plastic and sealed with tape.
- Appliances and construction materials (wood, sinks, toilets, swing sets, etc.) are not included in the free pick-up.
- Multi-unit complexes are responsible for disposing of bulk items; City services do not include apartments or condos.
- Do not place bulk items in your trash or recycling bins.
- Items must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled trash/recycle day, preferably the night before.
