Salisbury Police Investigating Thai Spa for Human Trafficking, Prostitution

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Police Department (SPD) is investigating a local massage parlor after receiving information regarding potential human trafficking and prostitution activity at the business last month.

On Wednesday, Mar. 4, SPD’s Criminal Investigation Division, in coordination with the FBI and the City of Salisbury’s Housing and Community Development Department, executed a search and seizure warrant at Thai Spa on North Salisbury Boulevard. Police say the business is indefinitely closed following the execution of the warrant.

This investigation reportedly received direct support from the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network. The organization works to identify, disrupt, and dismantle criminal organizations through inter-agency collaboration and data sharing to make Maryland safer.
