MD Fire Marshals Investigating Denton House Fire
DENTON, Md. – The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that damaged a home in Caroline County early Friday morning.
At 4:28 a.m. on Mar. 20, crews with the Denton Volunteer Fire Company responded to a house fire on Burrsville Road after it was reported by a passerby, who also alerted the occupant of the home. A total of 25 firefighters battled the blaze for 25 minutes. The fire is believed to have originated on the exterior deck attached to the home.
The total damages to the home and its contents is estimated to be valued at $20,000. No individuals were displaced as a result of the fire. Fire marshals provided smoke alarms to the occupants following the incident.
