MD Fire Marshal Investigating Salisbury House Fire

SALISBURY, Md. – The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating a house fire that caused significant damage on Friday afternoon.

At 4:44 p.m. on Feb. 27, crews from the Salisbury Fire Department responded to a two-story home on East William Street for a fire reported by neighbors. Thirty-five firefighters worked for 25 minutes to extinguish the blaze on the first floor. Smoke and fire alarms were present and activated at the time of the fire.

The total damage to the structure and its contents is estimated to be valued at $100,000. Two individuals were displaced as a result of the fire.

The preliminary cause of the fire has not been determined at this time. Anyone with relevant information on this fire is asked to contact the Lower Eastern Regional Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.
