Mardela softball erupts for 10-run first inning in shutout win over Snow Hill

SNOW HILL, Md. – Mardela softball took down Snow Hill 22-0 in five innings Monday afternoon in Snow Hill.

In the top of the first inning, Mardela’s Camryn Dorr accounted for a base-clearing three-run RBI triple. This was part of a 10-run first inning.

Then in the second inning, as was the case many times throughout the game, Mardela loaded the bases, and Elana Donalds recorded a hit into left field for an RBI single. After that, Abby Campbell drove in two more runs for the Warriors, who left the second inning extending their lead by four more runs.

Mardela star pitcher Ava Twilley struck out 14 in five innings, accompanying the Warriors’ offensive performance in the win over the Eagles.
