Hurlock Meeting with Boys and Girls Club to Discuss Center
(HURLOCK, Md) – In North Dorchester County, community members are working to bring a center for local kids to the Town of Hurlock.
The Town of Hurlock’s leadership is meeting with the Boys and Girls Club of Maryland Tuesday to discuss a potential center in the community.
There’s currently a Boys and Girls Club on Leonard’s Lane in Cambridge, now, they’re seeking one on the northern-most side of the county.
Mayor Earl Murphy says he’s been working with the club to expand their reach in Dorchester County for months.
“North Dorchester County deserves to have something like this. And when someone comes up with an opportunity, I’m going to look at every aspect of what we can provide to citizens and in this case, the youth of the town,” says Murphy.
We’ll provide updates on the center as we receive new information.
