Dover Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Dover man on felony drug charges on Monday afternoon.

Police arrested 42-year-old Christopher Naylor on charges of possessing a tier two controlled substance, possessing a tier two controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possessing drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $15,001 secured bond.

At 2:20 p.m. on Mar. 2, members of the Kent County Governor’s Task Force responded to the 800 block of Artis Drive to locate Naylor, who had a capias warrant for failure to appear in New Castle County Court of Common Pleas. When detectives arrived, they saw Naylor exiting a tent in the backyard of the property. He was taken into custody without incident. While taking him into custody, detectives saw drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view in the tent. During a subsequent search, officers found approximately 10.13 grams of methamphetamines, a digital scale, and drug paraphernalia. Naylor was taken into custody.
