Dover DMV Given All-Clear After Evacuating for Suspicious Package
DOVER, Del. – The Dover Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) was briefly evacuated on Tuesday after a suspicious package was found at the location.
At 11:40 a.m. on Mar. 10, Delaware DMV announced in a post to social media that law enforcement had responded to the Dover location to inspect the package and clear the site. Officials said the building was evacuated out of an abundance of caution. As of 1:30 p.m., the Dover DMV was given the all-clear.
The circumstances in Dover follow an earlier announcement of technical difficulties across all Delaware DMV locations, resulting in longer than normal wait times.
