WMDT’s Kindness Tip Of the Day for Feb. 20
SALISBURY, Md. – This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week from KindSBY.
There are no limits to kindness, big or small. You can make a difference in someone’s day and that can ripple outwards.
Today, KindSBY is delivering handmade artwork and special gifts to senior centers, as well as “Be Kind” coloring banners to all Wicomico County Public Schools for their “Kindness Across Generations” event. In the spirit of Kindness Across Generations, today’s Kindness Tip of the Day, brought to you by Schell Brothers, is spending time with the seniors and children in your life and community.
Across generations, we can all have our differences, but when we come together, we find things that we have in common. You can get involved in your community by saying hi to an elderly neighbor or calling a grandparent or great aunt/uncle. You can offer to babysit your nieces, nephews or cousins. Devoting just a little bit of your time might mean the world to your elders and the children in your life.
You never know what wisdom or laughs you might have when you’re with those younger or older than you.
Random Acts of Kindness Week may be over after today, but try to take the spirit of kindness with you everywhere, year round. You never know when your actions might make the world a little bit brighter, a little bit better and a little bit kinder.
